We have celebrated Black Marriage Day for SEVEN years in St. Louis, and have held our Annual Essay Contest for six of those years.  This year, we will hold a reception to honor the winners of the essay contest, as well as recognize African American Marriages that have lasted Through the Years! 

Let's celecbrate LOVE: African American Style!

Nominate yourself, your friends, neighbors, co-workers or relatives for the St. Louis Black Marriage Day Hall of Fame.  One winner and one Honorable mention in each category.  Nominations should include:

• Full Names and ages of Couple
• Length of Marriage
• Number of Children (if any)
• How the couple met
• Why they are nominated
• Why they are an example of a strong marriage
• One reason that they have amde it "Through the Years"
• (couples must be 21 years or older)

Winners will receive

• a proclamation honoring their marriage
• professional framed photo
• a gift package
• Induction into the St. Louis Black Marriage Hall of Fame

Honorable Mention winners will receive

• A Certificate honoring their marriage
• A Gift Card
• A Professional Photo
